Wardle Warriors U12 Whites Vs Chadderton Park Vipers - 24/9
Match Report
Wardle Warriors Whites 3 – 5 ChaddertonPark Vipers
Wardle Warriors started this game well. They pressed forward on several occasions. It was James Jackson who opened the scoring with a looping cross come shot that ended up in the back of the net.
Chadderton were having none of that, straight from the kick off they surged forward and struck to
equalise.
About 10 minutes later Chadderton went ahead, when an attacking move from midfield led to a well struck volley leaving Wardle’s keeper no chance. Chadderton struck again a few minutes later again
with a good strike, to make it 3-1 to the visitors.
Right on the stroke of half time, Wardle pulled one back, they pressed forward and a goal mouth scramble led to Daniel Sutcliffe managing to get the ball in the net.
In the second half, with both teams not giving much away, Chadderton regained their two goal cushion with a well taken strike that went through the Wardle keeper’s legs. Chadderton pushed their lead further
to 5-2 when the Wardle defence failed to clear a cross and it was picked up by Chadderton and a quick flick went in.
Wardle still continued to press forward though and managed to pull another one back, from a great run and strike from Harry Kershaw which won him the moment of the match award, but it was too little, too
late and the score remained at 5-3 to Chadderton.
Jack Nicholson was awarded man of the match for some great work in defence.
