Wardle Warriors U12 Whites Vs Radcliffe Juniors - 3/12
Match Report
Radcliffe Juniors 6 – 2 Wardle Warriors Whites
Wardle started this game brightly enough,
pressing forward but not managing to find the net. The Radcliffe keeper making fine saves from both Harry Kershaw and James Jackson.
With their midfield pressing forward though, Radcliffe won the ball in
midfield and attacked –beating the Wardle keeper Will Myers, for a 1 – 0 lead at half time.
The second half was like a completely different match. Radcliffe were doing all the pressing and each time they attacked looked
like they would score, they usually did. Within 10 minutes of the restart Wardle found themselves 4 down, two scored from a lobs over the keeper and their fourth from the by line which was the tightest angle I have ever seen scored.
Wardle attempted to press at every opportunity but the Radcliffe keeper was not relenting until a corner for Wardle and a bit of a scramble resulted in Nathan Wardle tapping in from a couple of yards. With Wardle continuing to press forward, they left holes in midfield and at the back
and Radcliffe managed to score two more to take their tally to 6.
Wardle didn’t give up and scored a second with minutes to go, some good work from Nathan Wardle who turned supplier for Harry Kershaw to strike home for Wardle’s second and the final goal of the game.
Harry Kershaw was man of the match for a great performance in an otherwise under performed game.
