The Blues were looking to get back to winning ways after a couple of
defeats and it started well with a great free kick from Harry to Lewis but after
just 4 minutes a poor clearance led to an easy chance for Elton who made it 1-0.
Harry was involved in the next couple of plays with a long range shot from the
halfway line which went over the bar and from his next pass, Matthew fed Luke K
and his shot was pushed on to the post and out by the keeper. Elton attacked and
Jensen covered well to make a good saving tackle before Lewis ran down the left,
cut in and shot over the keeper to make it 1-1 after 11 minutes. The next three
efforts from Elton saw Travis make three good saves before the Blues had a
couple of efforts from Matthew but both went wide. Travis could do nothing about
the next Elton effort though as they made it 2-1 with 15 minutes gone. Two
minutes later Matthew beat 2 defenders before laying on Liam whose crisp shot
beat the keeper to make it 2-2. The Blues now began to push forward with Liam
shooting just wide, then Luke J made a good strong tackle before a great shot
from Harrison from the edge of the box made it 2-3 to the Blues. A moment later
and Luke K went past 2two defenders on the by-line and his shot was pushed round
the post for a corner, from which Liam had 2 shots but they came to nothing. The
half-time whistle came a moment later.                      
 
 
The second half began as the first had ended, with a great chipped pass
from Ellis to Matthew, who headed over and then a good shot by Ellis which hit
the foot of Elton post. Elton came back though and a brilliant tackle from Amy
as the last defender prevented a scoring opportunity for Elton before the Blues
went down the other end and a lovely worked one-two between Liam and Henry gave
Liam the chance of a shot, which went just wide. Some more poor defending though
led to Elton making it 3-3. Harry and Jensen continued to defend well before
Harrison handballed in the area and the referee had no choice but to give a
penalty to ELton. Elton coudln't capitalise on it though, as the penalty was put
wide. Elton did not dwell on it and their next effort hit the post before Travis
saved well at the strikers feet. Elton pushed forward but this time Henry won
the ball well in his own corner and made a great pass up the line to Liam whose
shot led to a corner. From the corner, the ball fell to Liam who beat his man
with a neat little drag-back before crossing to Matthew who was free in the box
and he made it 3-4 to the Blues. Elton were still not done though and a great
long range effort saw Travis make a good save by pushing it over the bar for a
corner, from which Elton made it 4-4. With a minute remaining, Travis made
another good save and with both teams looking for the winner, time was upon us
and the referee blew for the final whistle.
