Within the first 5 minutes, Matthew had 3 opportunites with one shot saved by the Prestwich keeper, another blocked by a defender and a volley from a corner which went just wide. Prestwich came back on the attack
with 3 strong tackles and a shot cleared off the line by Jensen and another shot  which hit the post and went wide. With Prestwich still on the attack, Harrison made a strong headed clearance and a saving tackle before Liam tracked back to make a good tackle in his own penalty area. Luke Kelly on for Henry.
After 17 minutes, Matthew picked up the ball, ran at the defence and unleashed a 20 yard drive which skimmed the top of the bar. Ellis on for Matthew. Two minutes later, Liam cut in from the right and from an acute angle hit a powerful shot in to the roof of the net to make it 1-0. With half-time approaching, Ellis shot just wide of the left post.
 
The second half started with Luke J on for Jensen and Matthew for Liam and with Prestwich having the first shot on target and Lewis making a good catch. A minute later, Prestwich attacked again and Luke
J made a last ditch clearance. A shot by Matthew was turned around the post for a corner, from which Harrison had a header saved by the keeper. Jensen on for Harry, Amy on for Luke J. After 10 minutes, Lewis saved for a corner, a minute later saved with his feet and next made a great save diving at the feet of the Prestwich striker to prevent a goal scoring opportunity but needed help from Liam a moment later when Liam cleared off the line for a corner. Luke K off, Harry on. With 16 minutes gone, Harry had a long range shot saved by the keeper and a moment later Jensen's long range effort went just wide. With the Blues
pressing forward, Matthew skipped past a defender before having his shot saved by the keeper and then Harry shot wide from the edge of the box. Henry on, Matthew off.
 
With 5 minutes remaining, a good passing move between Jensen, Harry and Henry resulted in a shot on goal saved by the keeper. A minute later, Harrison hit a 20 yarder which was heading for the top corner until the Prestwich keeper pushed it over the bar. Prestwich came forward with Amy making 3 good tackles to prevent an attack. Amy off, Matthew on. With a couple of minutes remaining, Liam had a shot blocked and Matthew had a shot just wide before Prestwich had an opportunity to level it when they went past Lewis but
the effort was cleared off the line by Harry. A moment later the full time whistle went.
