Within a couple of minutes of the kick off, Harrison split the Unsworth
defence with a pass to Jamie but it was unable to be converted. Unsworth
attacked with Travis and Luke J making good tackles and Lewis a good save from a
long range shot. After five minutes Harrison laid on Liam who finished with
aplomb to make it 0-1. Undettered Unsworth push forward with good defending from
Luke J, Travis and Harrison before they hit the corner of the post and bar
with a good shot. Lewis made a couple more good saves and a good covering tackle
from Luke J before the Blues attacked again with Liam hitting the post and as
the ball fell to Henry, he hit the post as well. With a few minutes before
half-time, another defence splitting ball from Harrison to Liam whose shot was
saved and then an exact repeat move a minute later with the same outcome. The
final act of the half, saw Liam have another shot which was
saved.
After just two minutes of the second half, Unsworth levelled it at 1-1
and then straight from the kick off they attacked again before Amy made a good
tackle. The Blues came back with Luke K going past a defender and a having a
well hit shot saved and then Ellis beat two Unsworth players and passed to Luke
K who shot wide. After six minutes, the next attack saw a clearance from the
Unsworth keeper loop up to the edge of the box where Henry hit a sweet volley to
make it 1-2. A couple of minutes later, Harrison hit a great pass from his own
half to Luke K who battled well against two defenders before ball the fell to
Ellis who struck it in to the bottom right hand corner to make it 1-3.
Continuing to push forward, Luke K again battled well and set up Henry who shot
in to the side netting. Henry had the next couple of chances, with his first
effort being cleared off the line and then his second shot saved. The Blues now
attacked at will, as Luke K had a shot saved, then Henry's shot saved before
Henry's next goal-bound effort was touched in by Liam to make it 1-4. With six
minutes to go, a good run by Harrison set up Liam, who crossed to Luke K and he
made no mistake to make it 1-5. As the game neared its end, Luke K had another
effort saved before the ball fell to Henry who slotted it in to the bottom right
hand corner to make it 1-6. There were another couple of chances for Henry and
Luke K before the referee ended the
proceedings.
