Today saw Wardle travel to Bury Am Panthers who were currently sat just above
Wardle in the league. 

The game kicked off with both sides having chances. Wardle were carrying out
some good passing football which were leading to beaks down the wings. It wasn’t
long before Wardle broke and from a difficult angle Sean Kgwakwa smashed the
ball into the back of Bury’s net. This seem to up Wardles game and it wasn’t
long before Wardle hit another into Bury’s net from Owen Tweedy. Wardle really
were playing some good football and showing good team work. Bury did have
chances but once again Ben Mellor, Jack Crabtree and Jamie Pearce in Wardles
defence linked up well together and kept Bury out.

 Second half Bury did come out stronger and had several chances deflected.

 Ten minutes gone and Wardle were awarded a free kick just inside Bury’s half. 
  Sean Kgwakwa took it with such precision and smashed it straight into the top
corner of Bury’s net. Certainly was a goal to remember.  Many said this was the
 best they had seen Wardle play so far this season.
 Bury did come back hitting two late goals but nothing could take it away from
Wardle and their performance. An excellent game to watch.


Man of the Match was awarded to Sean Kgwakwa for his whole team effort and
also to Ben Mellor who really did show his excellence in defence.
